Bill Baddeley

William Pye Baddeley was the Dean of Brisbane from 1958 to 1967.
He was born in Shropshire on 20 March 1914, the brother of Hermione Baddeley and Angela Baddeley;〔(Independent Obituary )〕 and educated at Durham University.〔‘BADDELEY, Very Rev. William Pye’, ''Who Was Who'', A & C Black, 1920–2008; online edn, Oxford University Press, Dec 2007 (accessed 21 Aug 2012 )〕 After a period of study at Ripon College Cuddesdon he was ordained in 1946.
After a period of study at Ripon College Cuddesdon he was curate of St Luke, Camberwell and St Anne, Wandsworth 〔''Crockford's Clerical Directory 1975-76'' London: Oxford University Press, 1976 ISBN 0-19-200008-X〕 and held incumbencies in Bournemouth and St Pancras before becoming dean of Brisbane. On his return to England he was Rector of St James's, Piccadilly from 1967 to 1980.
He died on 31 May 1998.〔(thePeerage.com )〕
